Resumo

The purpose of analyzing the performance of computer systems is to validate a given solution. To this end, it is necessary to collect metrics that will measure the product being evaluated. Data can be obtained from a number of sources, such as benchmarks, programs developed by third parties or by the user themselves, which generate workloads and thus make it possible to collect the indicators needed to assess the system. This paper presents a performance analysis of a link comparing parameters produced by the UISP Design Center tool with data obtained using the PingMark benchmark tool. The first step in the simulation was to use the antenna manufacturer’s website to obtain the basic indicators and thus proceed to check the feasibility of using the transmission medium. The equipment was then installed and configured, and new tests were carried out using PingMark. Finally, an analysis of the elements acquired was carried out. The results showed that the use of the initial simulation was crucial to the success of the experiment, because as well as returning the indicators used in the comparison, they also indicated that obstacles on the link route would obstruct the transmission medium.
